Excited to Begin?
Hello World!
Hello and Welcome!
I’m so glad you’ve found your way to my corner of the internet. My name is Canzaeda, and I’m a 23-year-old wife, photographer, and aspiring biblical woman living in the beautiful Upstate of South Carolina with my amazing husband. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m still on a journey of growth and discovery, and this blog is my attempt to share that process with you—hoping that it might resonate and encourage others along the way.
A little about me—my husband and I got married when I was 21, and he was just 19. Our wedding was a beautiful, intimate elopement overlooking the stunning Lake Jocassee, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the life we’ve built together. Before moving here, I was living in Knoxville, Tennessee, having just graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in political science and economics. I worked in economic development for a short time before deciding to leave that world behind and make a home with my husband. Our move to South Carolina was a big one, but we know it’s where we are meant to be.

Though I was blessed to be born into a Christian family and was saved by grace at the age of 11, my journey hasn’t been without its struggles. During my public school years, I wrestled with my faith and didn’t live a life that reflected the love of Christ. It wasn’t until college that I had a complete change of heart and truly began to understand the meaning of being saved. Since then, I’ve made it my mission to live for God’s glory and continue growing in faith, though I know there’s always more to learn. I’m fortunate to have a husband who is a wonderful, godly example of how to live according to God’s Word, and he’s been a huge source of strength and guidance for me.

When I first got married, I honestly had no idea what it meant to be a biblical wife. I struggled with many things, from anger to jealousy and criticism. But I am learning, day by day, what it means to be a wife who honors her husband and seeks to be more like Christ. This blog is a space where I share the lessons I’ve learned along the way—both the triumphs and the struggles—as I seek to honor God and serve my family.
One of the most exciting things I’ve discovered in my marriage is my love for baking. I didn’t know how to cook or bake before we got married, but it has quickly become one of my greatest joys. Baking is my way of showing my husband that I love him, and there’s something so fulfilling about creating something from scratch, just as I’m learning to build my life and faith from the ground up.

In addition to baking, I have a deep passion for photography. I’ve been a photographer since the 8th grade, and it remains one of my favorite hobbies. Whether I’m capturing moments in nature, with my loved ones, or just for the sheer joy of it, photography gives me a creative outlet and reminds me of the beauty in everyday life.
As a family, we live in a camper on my in-laws’ property, embracing the simplicity of life and the beauty of nature around us. We also share our home with our pet snake, Percy, who has become a fun and unexpected addition to our family.
Though I’ve lived in several places over the years—Knoxville, TN, Branson, MO, and Roanoke, VA—South Carolina feels like home. And while I don’t have all the answers, I’m excited to continue this journey, learning more about faith, family, and homemaking along the way.
Thank you for joining me on this adventure! I hope my story can be a reminder that we are all in this journey of faith and growth together. Let’s continue learning, growing, and living for God’s glory—one day, one recipe, and one lesson at a time.
